Common Fisher & Paykel repairs
ActiveSmart not cooling evenly. ActiveSmart models use sensors and variable control to adjust cooling and defrost to how the refrigerator is used. A failed sensor or fan can make one compartment run warm. We test the actual components rather than assuming the control board.
Ice maker problems. Water valve, ice maker module, or frozen fill tube — the usual suspects, made more common by Las Vegas hard water.
Frost buildup. Defrost heater or sensor failures, or gasket problems on freezer drawers.
Fan noise. Freezer fans can become noisy with age or ice contact.
Water leaks. Drain or supply line issues.
Fisher & Paykel is owned by Haier, which also owns GE Appliances. Some parts are proprietary, so we confirm part numbers from your model and serial before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Are Fisher & Paykel refrigerators worth repairing?
Integrated columns and newer ActiveSmart models usually are. For older freestanding units with a sealed-system failure, we will compare repair cost with replacement.
