Common Thermador problems
Column refrigerator not cooling. Each Freedom column is a separate appliance with its own compressor and controls. When a refrigerator column warms up, we check the condenser airflow at the base or top grille, the evaporator fan, defrost operation and temperature sensors before suspecting the sealed system.
Freezer column ice maker issues. Ice makers in Thermador freezer columns can stop producing because of a failed water valve, a frozen fill tube or a failed ice maker assembly. In Las Vegas, mineral scale from hard water is a frequent contributor.
Water on the floor. Usually a clogged or frozen defrost drain, or a leak at the water filter housing or supply line.
Error messages and control issues. Thermador displays fault indications for sensor and communication problems. We read and interpret these, then test the actual component instead of replacing parts by guesswork.
